Turn a photo
into a mosaic that
outlives you.

Madaba, Jordan has been the world's mosaic capital since the 6th century, when its artisans set the Madaba Map — the oldest surviving map of the Holy Land — into a church floor. That same hand-set craft, same stone, same technique, turns your photo into a mosaic today.

About Madaba City

The city that never stopped setting stone

Madaba, Jordan is home to the 6th-century Map of the Holy Land — the oldest surviving map mosaic in the world, still set in the floor of St. George's Church. The craft never left. Today, Madaba's workshops train each generation of artisans by hand, the same way it's been done for over a thousand years.

Madaba holds the largest number of mosaics discovered in their original location anywhere in the world. In 2017, it was named part of UNESCO's Creative Cities Network for its living mosaic craft — a designation held by very few places on Earth.
